Nursing schools are very competitive. It depends on the school and the area. Highly populated areas will see more applicants. Talk to an academic adviser for prospective students and ask how competitive the program is. They will know how many students go pre-nursing and they may be able to schedule an appointment with an adviser from the the college of nursing. They are only ones who can really tell you how competitive your GPA is.
Agree with above poster. Make an appointment with the counselor/advisor of each school that specializes in the nursing program. We can't answer your question about specific schools. Yes, schools are competitive. You couldn't get in here with the GPA you have, but could probably get in in other places. It truly depends on the area and the school. Good luck.

Hi, I'm new to the site so I don't really know where to post this topic, so sorry if I post in the wrong section. I'm trying to get into University of Texas Medical Center and Texas Woman University, and I'm wondering if my GPA is too low for them. I have 3.4 overall and 3.6 Science GPA, I haven't taken the HESI yet but I am a CNA. I would really appreciate it if you guys can give me some insights on this topic, thanks!
