NET vs. TEAS

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello,

I will be applying at a few different schools after the summer semester and some require the NET and some require the TEAS. I know they have books for both, but are they similar enough to just study from one or the other? Does anyone know what the big difference is? Seems like it would be easier if all schools used the same entrance test. Thanks for the info!

The NET no longer exists. The NET is now the Hesi A2. I don't know about the TEAS test, but the Hesi A2 is unbelievably easy. The first time I didn't study and got a 89%. I then decided to switch schools so I had to retake and got a 90%. Even my younger sister, who is studying communication and is a freshman in college got a 84% cumulative on the practice tests. You'd think they'd make a supposed pre-nursing test a bit more difficult to pass...

ForeverLaur,

You mentioned your sister has taken a HESI practice test. Where can I find HESI practice tests? I have the Evolve study guide and there definitely is not one in there. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the Evolve Reach (Powered by Hesi) Admission Assessment Exam Review 2nd Edition and it has practice tests for each section in it.

Thanks, ForeverLaur!

I agree, I've taken both and the NET was very easy. The TEAS wasn't as hard as I thought but it was defiantly harder then the NET. I also thought they were both very different, they cover different subjects and the questions were different. Hope this helps!:D
