Nervous about TEAS

Hi! Dont be nervous. I was nervous when i took mine. I would have performed MUCH better if i wasnt so nervous. I only used the the ATI study manual and purchased both practice tests. I feel the practice tests were about the same level of difficulty as the real exam.

Find out what the minimum score is for your program and keep that number in your head. At the end of the day, i passed no problem and was accepted to my program to start this fall.

The part I struggled with the most was the English usage portion.....I'm 28 and it has been about 10 years since I took an English class...so while I can use every day English needed to survive in the world....all the little grammar rules and things I learned quite a long time ago tripped me up.....I will be studying that section more before I retake. The math was MUCH easier than I expected (and I am NOT a math person at all). If you have taken A&P the science shouldn't be to terrible....I would for sure go over the study guide but don't stress too much (I had only had A&P I when I took it....I think that I will do even better now that I've had A&P II).

the ATI study guide is good....do the practice tests.....practice questions helped me the most in studying. Just don't let the posts that say it's hard freak you out....I had myself so stressed out over it....it really wasnt as bad as I expected....

Took my TEAS in December after being out if school for 20 years. I over studied and learned a lot of stuff I didn't need. Basic (I mean basic) math, reading comprehension, some science. You will do great.

I studied for the TEAS & HESI with one book but didn't pass because of the math (don't freak out!). The HESI & TEAS were alike in every section except math. Plus on the HESI there is a calculator you can use.

I highly recommend buying the ATI study guide, it's a great resource. Plus there are the McGraw-Hill tests & YouTube (I've heard people using the Khan Academy for help). I'm going to start studying in July/August & with the ATI study guide I know I'll get in because I was so close last time. Good luck!

I studied off of the ATI study guide which I thought was very close to the reading, english, and math portion of the test. The science part however was a completely different ball game. I would try and use other materials to help you prepare for the science portion.
