Looks like post HESI I'm coming in at a 79. :/ Meh, not too bad but not the best. Only time will tell. Others care to share their points ?

The HESI wasnt as scary as I thought. You have 4 hours for the entire test. The sections aren't individually timed so I recommend doing your hardest subject first. I did math and spent about an hour and half on it then freaked when I realized how long I took and hauled butt on the rest of the sections well then I ended up finishing about 1 1/2 hours earlier than expected but I got a 87.20% was hoping for a 90 % but oh well.

Based on the information session they held last week, the last cohort got in with 72 points and higher those with 71 were alternates. I did my own research on another thread from that cohort as well and those with 74 and above were definitely in so I'm keeping my fingers crossed since every application period is different.

did you buy the HESI a2 exam review book ? It's a great tool! I used that and the evolve practice exams plus quizlet flash cards. prior to studying I took a practice exam to see where my baseline score was and I got a 72 % so all the studying certainly made a difference ! Best of luck!

I'm really nervous about the A&P and Math sections. Were they multiple choice questions or were there some fill-ins? I got the HESI A2 exam book and A&P Cliff's Notes, but I haven't really had much time to study, I have 2 kids. Just skimmed the Reading & Vocab last week, and read the Math section of the HESI book today. Planning on reading the A&P section and Cliff's Notes this weekend. Where can I do a practice test? I'd like to know by base score, too.

By my calculation, if I can score 25 pts on the HESI, I'll barely be at 72 pts., so I need 30 to get 77 pts.

I know exactly what you mean. I have spawn of my own :'D an inquisitive 6 yr old and 10 month old that's always attached to me.. Like literally, the kid is breastfeeding like a newborn 24/7! Lol!

Dont be nervous be confident in your abilities. I bought the evolve book with 3 HESI practice exams so that's what I used to get my baseline but I bet if you look online you'll find some free tests. Practice as much as you and study during any down time. I was really rusty in all subjects so I studied while pumping at work, while breastfeeding, while driving I listened to quizlet flash cards (app for free) , and studied at night when the kids finally KOed and during nap times. I can't say it was every day but it was as much as possible for a whole month.

Took the HESI at Mt. SAC today. I got 90.40%! I just need to complete my personal statement and submit my application.

Congrats on the 90%. I took the Hesi today as well but sadly only got an 88.8%... SO CLOSE! Which means im going into the application with 75 points. Not super thrilled but maybe I'll get lucky.

Have any of you submitted the application yet?

The section marked Previous Rn program has a red asterisk and you have to put down an institution, yet i havent done a RN program before so i wasn't sure what to put.
also, do you guys know if a withdrawl from one of the sciences and then retaken for a grade counts as 1 attempt or 2?

If you don't have any previous RN experience, leave it blank. I'm not sure, but I think withdrawal from a class is considered a first attempt, and retaking it would be a second attempt.
