Medical Terminology

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Is anyone else taking this class?

I havent heard of any second part of med. term at our college. I think I will check into it if it isnt too late. If I dont get in this time, I will continue to take classes, and I am very sure that will be one of them.

I don't think my nursing application has those blank spots...kinda wish they did. My first class was fun. I already knew the words we went over because of Micro and A&P. After class the teacher overheard me talking to 2 other girls -one was in a CNA uniform for my CC and the other was also pre-nursing and both nursing and CNA classes don't require Med Terminology so it was a good impression on the teacher that we were taking the class out of our own will. He said it will really help give us an extra edge once we are actual nursing students. He also said that the Med Term II -language of medicine (or something like that) was even more advisable for nursing students.....I think I will just take it one day at a time.

The CC I'm trying to get into doesn't require medical terminology, but if you do take it, then you get an extra "preference point" for getting in. With all the competition, it can't hurt right?

I still don't know if I can do it before the app deadline so it may not help me there, plus I'd have to pay for it out of pocket since I haven't applied for my financial aid yet....

what to do....what to do....

It is going to be very time consuming. With Microbiology, this will be an extremely busy semester. It doesnt help any that we got behind last week because of weather. :o
