Is 197 words ok for a "brief description"?

I'm working on my nursing school entrance essay and have a slight problem. The essay question is pretty vague about length. It says write a brief description and provides about four lines in which to do so, but adds that it may be attached if needed. My essay isn't exactly polished yet, but so far it's coming in at 197 words/three short paragraphs. I'd definitely have to attach it separately.

Do you guys think that's ok, or do I need to whittle it down some?

I think it is fine if you go over your four lines. You want to get your point across and make some sort of impression... but it also depends on what the question is that you are answering... Good Luck!
