info on HESI test

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi

Does anyone know anything about the HESI test? One of the BSN programs I'm looking at applying to requires it.

Any info would be appreciated

I have to take this test also. I went to my university bookstore and asked to purchase the study guide. I hope this helps, if your school does not have one, try typing "HESI" in google. Good Luck!!

The HESI is a good indicator of your performance on the NCLEX. In our program, we are given it after every course to evaluate us. It also counts as 5% (usually) of our theory grade. When we finish the program, we are given a comprehensive HESI - I guess to let us know what we really need to work on before we test.

I've usually found the questions on the HESI to be very straightforward and clear. Much easier than our convoluted theory exams.

Good luck to you!!!

If I were you, I wouldn't decide on a program because they give this test and it is a required part of your classes. I have had to take it each semester and i think that it is relatively easy to prepare for and a good prep for the NCLEX. There are HESI reviews on line and it covers the same basic nursing info.

GOod luck deciding!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and it's so informative! I have a quesiton about the entrance exam for RN. The test i have to take is called the PAX exam and you are only allowed to take it twice. I already took it once and the score that i need to get into my school is a 100. My score was not even close. I'm from New Orleans and i was wondering if anyone knows how i can start my search to see if anyone has prep classes for these test. I have a study guide but it only reviews Chemistry and Physics, it does not go into much detail about those two subjects. For our nursing school chemistry and physics is not required as a pre requisite, but they have it on the entrance exam, go figure!!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
