I need BLS Cert and First Aid

Hello Fellow Students!

I have a dilemma. I need BLS cert to apply for nursing school later in in the school year. I need Regular CPR and First Aid for another position I am applying for.

It appears that I will have to pay for both types of CPR certificatio because BLS certification does not include first aid.

My CNA class instructor has stated that BLS is higher than regular first aid and having it negates the need for a separate first aid certification.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this? Or, do you know of a link to a good source of information on this issue that I could use to substantiate his claim that BLS certification (or Nursing Assistant Certification) includes first aid?
