Okay, today in lab we had to stick ourselves with lancets to draw a blood sample. After much ado I finally was able to prick myself. However, after awhile, there was limited blood coming out of the tip of my finger and it wasn't enough for a sample. As I sat there trying to get some of my blood into a tube I lost it! I broke into a TOTAL cold sweat and went totally pale. One of my classmates said, "you need to sit down, you're white!"
What is wrong with me? Everyone else in the class did fine and being a guy, I feel like a total wuss. I'm pretty mentally tough, which is why I can't figure out why I lost it today...
Does this happen when you see your blood only? I'm sure it is just a mental thing. You'll probably get over it with time. Good luck!

No, this isn't the only time. I was watching a gallbladder surgery and got lightheaded when the doctor jammed the probes into the stomach...is there anyone else who gets queasy like this?
