what sections did you have to take?

I took the Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Biology, A&P, and Math sections. I used the evolve study guide as well as the one by McGraw Hill. The one by McGraw Hill was good for the Biology/A&P section but I used the evolve one for everything else. Overall, the test was not that bad at all. I actually feel like I overstudied. "Floridatrail2006" posted some very useful information on this website: https://sites.google.com/site/apinnerworkings/. I made my own studied guides for Bio/A&P using the material presented in the study guides.

I would recommend that you know how to do all of the math problems by hand and also know the conversions. You will do fine! Good Luck!

Congratulations on doing well! I have to take my exam soon but not exactly sure when since my school just informed me that they put in for approval on adding the HESI pre-entrance exam to the program. I am almost positive it will be approved since pretty much all of the nursing programs I have looked at require it so I am just going to start studying now. I am just worried since you have to wait 60 days between each time you take and they won't know if they have it approved until the middle of September sometime so it doesn't leave too much room to study, take, and retake if you have to before applications in January. I am not even sure what sections they will require so fingers crossed that I will do well whenever I take it.

Thank you! You will do fine, don't worry. I was really worried about the test because it has been 10 years since I took biology and 6 years since I last took A&P but it really wasn't that bad. I think the hardest part for most people is the math section, which really wasn't that hard. You just have to make sure you can do every single problem in the book by hand. There is a calculator on the test but if you don't know how to do the problems manually you still won't do well. The A&P section was the most difficult for me. To study for that I would just recommend using the Evolve study guide and the one by McGraw Hill. It's really not that much information so if you study well you will be prepared. I've seen a lot of people saying that they reviewed their old A&P notes to help study for the test but IMO that is just a bit overwhelming. Especially if you took the class 6 years ago.

hello! i'm about to take the hesi on monday and i'm really nervous about the A&p section.. any tips for what topics to go over???
