Happy New Year! and other rambelings...

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful 2006!! My Physiology class does not begin until the 31 and frankly I am getting anxious. I have been brushing up on my chemistry skills, which is making me more nervous. My husband tells me I should just enjoy my time off. He doesn't understand my neurosis with school lol. He graduated from college on cum laude and hardly studied. Well I hoping that I can pull of an A and finally apply to the RN program. Although at my school the waiting list is two years! I am really lucky though that I get to be a stay at home momma and help out my sis (who is 18) whose diagnosed as a quad after a car accident (but we don't give much stock on what the neurologists say because according to them she was never to wake from her coma and she would be in a persistent vegetative state. They even tried to convince my parents to place her in a skilled nursing facility. We took her home in May and she woke from her coma in late June. Well we are all at home together...yes my husband, 16 month old daughter and me moved into my parents house with my two sisters and mom and dad. And although it is crazy at times, I love my family and am glad that we are blessed enough so that we can be all together. My sister is awake and coherent. She can speak, laugh, talk and sing. She can sit up for an hour unassisted and she is started to have some sensation in her legs. She has funcitonal use of her arms (although not 100% functional). Well 2005 was a very tough year on my family. My sister had her car accident in April and my husband's parents were divorced this year after 28 years of marriage. I am hoping that 2006 brings much love and happiness and healing to us all!! Good luck to everyone in school...sending A++++ vibes out!

Happy New Year to you, too. My husband who has a genius mathbrain is also very calm about school issues. Unlike me who always struggled with test anxiety and math and science.....try to relax and make the best of your time off.

I just wanted to echo my wishes for a Happy New Year to all my fellow prenursing and nursing students.

My this year bring excellent grades to us all
