Hacienda-La Puente CAD LVN Program - I Passed Round One

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I passed the assessement test with flying colors. I took the exam on May 17th. A person called a week later but I missed the call. I tried to get in touch with someone at the office, via but no one would answer the phone or return my voice mails. So last Tuesday, I drove out to the school. The only way I was not going to get an answer is if the school burned or was on summer break. Newsflash, the school had not burned down and was not closed due to summer break (thankfully). A gentleman had retreived the test scores, from a black binder, and told me that I scored very high in all seven subject matters (12.9 grade level and plus). He offered his congratulations and told me that I should be very proud of myself. I asked if I should take the test again for a higher score and he told me "no"; he also said that I should wait for either a phone call or an e-mail toward the end of October concerning the pre-nursing course which will be held in either November (hopefully it starts after Nov. 5th that is when I return from my cruise).

Has anyone had any difficulties getting in contact with the office via phone? Should I take this matter up with the director of nursing or the school board?

Also, for anyone who has gone through the selection process already, could you tell me what I should be on the lookout for ? Any tips , comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Also, tomorrow morning, I have a eligibility meeting at U.I. office. I am guessing that I should tell them that I am eligible for WIA funding to attend LVN school and that I passed the assessment exam.

UPDATE... I GOT WIA FUNDING FOR LVN SCHOOL

The Vice President's boss approved it. I am so thank for onto God. They did not fund the entire thing, but I got more than half. Financial aid should pick up the rest (hopefully).
