Entry Drug Test and Marijuana

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello all. I start the program in May and have until the middle of the month to complete the online orientation. Obviously, entrance to the program requires a drug screen. My concern is that I was at a music festival last weekend where I was exposed to significant amounts of second-hand (marijuana) smoke. I'm not being too paranoid, I know simply being next to someone smoking is (more than likely) not going to show traces of THC in my system but a few of the sets were in a warehouse that didn't allow for much smoke to escape. It was enough to make the air foggy and slightly burn our eyes. Am I being too paranoid or do you think it's possible that I'll have levels sufficient enough to pop positive on the test?

Perhaps inane to ask but is there anything I can do? If I fail I know there is no way I'll be able to convince them these results are not consequence of me smoking.

It's very unlikely to test positive but if it worries you that much try and take a home drug test before to make sure.

I seriously doubt it. Even if you did actually smoke marijuana, it shouldn't take more than a couple weeks to clear, let alone second hand.

I doubt second hand was enough to show up on a drug test.. but like others said, you can do a home test just to be sure.

You are being paranoid. While I have never smoked pot, I have been in the same room with people smoking, often a small, enclosed area, with poor ventilation. Contrary to what some people might think, there is no such thing as a second hand smoke contact high. The only way to test positive is to smoke or ingest pot in some way.
