I need someone to tell me the answer!!

If I graduate a nursing school and become RN in Louisiana, can I still take the texas board exam? Texas is where I want to start working as a nurse!

There is no TX board exam. All states and some territories utilize the same national licensing exam--the NCLEX. Rather than get LA license you can apply directly to TXBoN for initial license by examination. Just let your school know to send your verification of graduation & transcripts to TX. You can physically take the exam anywhere. The results will be sent to your BoN of record. If you have no intention of ever working in LA you will just be wasting time & money applying there.

So you can go to school in LA, apply for license in TX then take the exam in HI on vacation if you do desire.
