Did any pre-nursing student apply to RN and get in 2014 in cpcc,gaston,or carolina college

I am going to apply to the progams this semester for the LPN nad RN at these places,but they are changing so much.I am really scared that I will not be able to get into the programs because they are so competitive.That really discourages me,though i have a 3.7 GPA and all A's except 2 B's. did anyone get in with a C or 2??

I've applied to CPCC and Carolina College. I don't have any offers yet, but I'm hoping at least one of them pans out. It is competitive, for sure. Don't worry though, you have a good GPA. So long as your TEAS was good, you could be looking at a spot at CPCC. Did you apply to SPCC? I'm thinking of throwing my name in the hat there too.

@roverdew, CNA, no I have not applied to cpcc yet,and i am going to apply to ANY school that has a nursing program I can get into.I do not want to sit at home anymore.I also had a breakdown because I had received a B in my microbiology class.My GPA would of been a 3.9.I was 1 1/2 points away.It literally made me cry.I mean the nursing programs now are so extensive,they want so much.I want to apply to different schools so i dont feel bad when I get a rejection letter.

I know how you feel about that B. I had a similar situation my first semester back into school (after 15 years out of school). I now am quite upset with anything less than an A. I'm trying to let that go a little... gotta live to see my kids grow old..hahaha! So, I just got an offer for a seat at CPCC. YAY! Keep at it, if you want it bad enough, it will work out! :up:

CONGRAT!!!!! I would love to get into CPCC but I do not have the teas test for it. I am going to retake it and maybe this time I will hopefully have a higher score.I am going to study so hard and make sure this time it counts for the long run.I am very very scared because I have been trying to get into a nursing program for 2 years and I am always a test grade away or something small so this year I am going to get all my ducks in a row and be sitting at home when the deadlines come becasue I will be finished with everything.GOOD LUCK to you!!!!
