Chemistry and physics questions on NLN

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello,

I am very new to this site so I'm still trying to get used to it. I take my NLN January 8th 2011 and I am extremely NERVOUS! I have NEVER taken physics or chemistry classes before in high school or college :/

I did buy the study guide book for it and am trying to review it everyday until january. I was wondering for those of you who have taken the nln, do you have to solve chemistry equations and reactions? Or is it simple questions about the definitions of atoms, ionic bonds, covalence, etc.

And for the physics, would I be ok if I just studied the formulas for distance, time, acceleration, etc.

Any info would be great, thanks!!

I took on the 7th instead of the 8th due to religious reasons. Only about 20 people took that test and it was really really difficult. I'm told the test on the 8th was a bit easier.

don't believe that, all they do is ask the questions in a different order or perhaps the other person just studied..I took it bbefore a didn't get in...I didn't think it was that difficult you just had to study a little which i hadn't done...Did you maintain your gpa?

I didnt speak to anyone that actually took it on the 8th. A friend of mine spoke to someone and that's what she was told. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and waiting to get my grades. My gpa is 3.933 so I should be okay with that.

The PAX is a standardized test; standardized tests are written in such a way that no one test is any "easier" or "harder" than another.

Thats an excellent gpa..I wish you all the best of luck, please keep me posted!

Got my results yesterday. Got a composite score of 141 and percentage of 98% so with that and my GPA I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for the acceptance letter to (hopefully) come :-)
