Cellular and Molecular Biology

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site so this is my first time posting. I just started planning my schedule for the spring semester and I have to take Cellular and Molecular Biology. Because of work and daycare schedules, I need to take the class either at nights or weekends and the rest of my classes are taken online. My college is offering a hybrid class where the lectures and homework are online and the lab component is in class on a Saturday morning. I'm very devoted to my school work and studying so my question is, has anyone taken this class online and done very well in it? Or should I try to figure out a way to take it completely in person?

Thanks in advance!

Good day, Brooke93:

I took a blended Microbiology class where lectures and lecture quizzes where online; lab, lab tests, and lecture exams were proctored on campus. Compared to fully online and fully on campus classes, it was much harder, though doable.

Thank you.

So are you saying a hybrid class is harder than a fully online class? How many other classes did you take while taking micro? And we're you able to do well?

Thanks so much for your input!

Good day, Brooke93:

Yes, I found hybrid harder than a fully online class. I took 14 credits that semester (AP2, Life Cycle Development, Microbiology, Nutritional Science). Even had I only taken that class, the answer would be the same; some of my classmates just had that one class and shared the same feelings. Harder, but doable with doable being the key word.

Thank you.
