I am currently holding a 3.0 at the moment and am taking two classes this semester. I talked to the advisor, and she mentioned that these two classes that I am currently in will not be included in the decision for the nursing program. The nursing program will make theri decision before my spring classes end this semester.

I then asked what was the average gpa for for fall 2011 acceptance and it was 3.4-3.5.

Does anyone thing I have a chance to get in. Keep in mind I did not complete all of their pre-reqs. I still need to complete two more courses in the summer to have everything fullfilled.

Thanks for the responses.

are you a high school senior? have you thought about any other schools? me, myself, was looking at all of the state schools at first for nursing but realized that they are too challenging and theres no set chance of getting into their programs. then i started looking at smaller, private schools and found that they have better programs than some state schools. in big state schools there are thousands upon thousands of students looking into their nursing programs, they only choose the best of the best. even the best of the best dont always get in. its all a space issue. and to me, that isnt fair to the potential students. i have found that smaller private schools will treat you better than that and you have a lot more opportunities that way. i live in illinois and am attending millikin university in decatur il in the fall. maybe you want to check it out as just another option?
