Anatomy final exam!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

My anatomy final is tomorrow and I'm so nervous. I just feel really overwhelmed and anxious about it all. I have a C in the class now and I calculated my grade, and figured out that if I get 100% on the final or 53% on the final, I'll end the class with a C. I'm going over the concepts and I just feel like I'm not remembering anything ??

Slow your thoughts down, practice some relaxation techniques such as breath in through your nose, hold it, exhale slowly for counts of 3... in 2,3, hold 2, 3, out 2,3. If your thoughts start to race, give yourself a mental shout "STOP", say to yourself, "I studied this, I can do this". Then read the question again, look for key words, what is it really asking for, which answers don't make sense.

Anxiety gets in the way of answering, even when you know the material. Making yourself calm down helps. Breathing, stopping the cycle, giving yourself positive encouragement are just a few starting techniques.

In the student nurse section, I've posted a long article about test anxiety a couple of times.

Good luck!

You probably know more than you think you do. Try to find some YouTube videos reviewing concepts you're struggling with, they might have tips for remembering the info or they might word things in a way that "clicks" for you. If you have someone around that can help you study, take advantage of it. I study a lot with my husband and he's great at making up silly ways for me to remember terms or correlations. Good luck studying, and let us know how you do!

Oh my god that was the hardest test I've ever taken!!! It was so much harder than the unit tests we've had!! ??

Yikes! When will you know how you scored?

Not sure yet, probably within the next week. I'll let you guys know!!

I really hope you surprise yourself by doing extremely well

Was your anatomy final exam cumulative or just a exam on the last portion of the material?

overall I thought anatomy was a demanding yet doable course.

It was both. 40% was cumulative and 60% was the last three units. I think the cumulative went well, the last three units just threw me off because he had a lot of questions that he didn't put on the study guide, and he said we only had to know what was specifically on the study guide.. It caught me off guard because I didn't expect certain topics to be on the test since he didnt put them on the study guide. My mistake.

I ended up getting a B-!!! Oh my god I'm so happy!
