A&P II--the struggle is real

oh my what was I thinking....I passed A&P I with an A and I just thought I was the sh**, but I just got done with my first A&P II exam and I am rethinking that statement because I feel like sh**.:wideyed:

I felt horrible after the test last night, I studied and studied and studied(I was literally dreaming about neutrophils and the cardiac conduction). I don't know what I could of done differently.

Its got me thinking I need to look at a different way of studying.

I make index cards, watch you tube videos, record the lectures.

anyone have any advice, I am on the verge of crying over this(well I already did a little last night on the way home)

I really thought A&P II was going to be easier...that's what I get for thinking.

I am the same way, I always freak after taking the test and then I find out that I actually didn't do bad at all.

I am taking A&P II right now. One thing that I am finding (for me) with A&P II is that there is a lot more complicated physiology than anatomy. It was reversed with A&P I. So I have to take more time out and really grasp the way each body system works. After reading it, I visualize what I read and how it is working right now in my own body, then I write out the flow of everything on paper until I understand the processes inside and out. I have found this method of studying very beneficial.

Someone else had a similar topic, I took A&P 1 and 2 during the summer so 8 weeks Monday - Thursday 5-9 pm it was hell but I got a 4.0 in both classes, lab included important thing is pay attention to the professors notes the most and read those sections in the text book... Also quizlet practice quizes / tests helped me alot aswell as this youtube channel called AnatomyGMC where they had full lectures on each chapter I would watch in bed before bed.

update: well I received a 85(B) on my exam, but our teacher added 5 extra points to the final, so it turned it into an A. I am not so happy though..I feel like I didn't deserve the A, I talked with him after class about how I am studying and came up with condensing down my sources, so I am not constantly chasing a rabbit(down the rabbit hole).

I just want to make sure I am absorbing the info and I can spit it back out for nursing school when I get in.
