2014 Acceptance Letter TCAT Covington TN

Has anyone received an acceptance letter for the fall 2014 PN class at Covington? I talked with the helpful lady in the office last Friday. She told me the letters had not been sent out but they did have the list of names.

They were suppose to have been mailed out last Thursday the 12th. As of yesterday no one had received anything yet.

You interview with the instructor Mrs. Jolene, the director of the nursing program Amanda i think and the director of the school. You will get a form to fill out before you go in. It asks, why do you want to be a nurse, what do you think a nurse does, do you have a supportive family etc, there was an ethic question that went something like this "If you received an order from the doctor and you knew it was wrong but the doctor told you to give the medication what would you do?" It asked if you were financially ready for nursing school, is devoting so much time going to be a problem etc. There's a full page of questions AND MORE ON THE BACK. Don't forget to check the back lol I did smh Once in the interview they pretty much ask you all the questions on the form you filled out. Make sure you know what time and days class and clinical's are. They ask about your school history and they take of picture of you to remember your face when the board meets. It was pretty quick. She said when I walked in that they only had a few questions for me anyway because I'm a cna i don't know if that was a good or bad thing lol I'm hoping good!! Once you get done with the interview you go straight to the office and get your financial aid filled out if you are planning on getting that, I am not. I was there about an hour and most of it was waiting.

OMG SO NERVOUS AND YES THATS A GOOD THING BECAUSE I HEARD THEY PICK PPL WITH EXPERIENCE RATHER YOUR SCORE SO THAT WAS A PLUS FOR YOU, AND THEY KEEP ASKING "WHY YOU WANT TO BE A NURSE" WE HAD TO FILL OUT A FORM IN ORIENTATION ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS LOL I GUESS THEY REALLY WANT TO KNOW, I WILL CALL THE DON TO SEE IF I HAVE TO ATTEND ORIENTATION AGAIN FOR THE Part TIME PROGRAM I HOPE NOT, KEEP MEH UPDATED AND GOODLUCK!!

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today...The wait is finally over. I got in. Good luck to everyone. See you in August....
