How long is that in NP program that you are considering attending? The school where I took my BSN has an online acute care nurse practitioner program that is three years. But what I'm hearing from everybody else is that the average is only two years, not 3.

Mine is 3 years and the other graduate programs in the Southwest are also 3 years for a DNP. (But this is only for a BSN to DNP degree.) It completely depends on the program you're going in to - MSN to DNP or BSN to MSN??

BSN to MSN. It's a 3 year program.

I go to Stockton in NJ. I'm taking the full time pathway, so I'll be done in 2 years (4 regular semesters and 1 summer). However, they are changing it so that you do the summer pediatrics class at the end, thus making it a bit longer for Family. It's still 2 years for Adult. Sometimes I wish it was longer when I think about all the information I need to process. Maybe the part time people have a better plan. But then impatience sets in and then I'm glad again. 10 more months to go!!!

Boston College and Vanderbilt both offer 12-month, 3 semester NP programs for bsn->msn. I know Seattle U is 3 years for Bsn-> msn. I think it really varies!

I am in a 3 year BSN to DNP program at Loyola University New Orleans. I like the 3 year program. If I had completed the MSN before the DNP it would take me 4 years instead.
