Who has applied? Any news?

Sorry to hear that. So are they finished sending out invites for interviews?

Yes they are finished.

I received an email January 5th inviting me to interview. It's on February 15th. Anyone else interviewing on the same day?

pinayhomegirl:

Sorry, I don't think I have enough posts to be able to reply to private messages. I actually don't have much experience -- only one year in the ICU -- but it's a VERY high acuity unit... Trauma SICU at a very large hospital. My undergraduate GPA was 3.67 and had lots of science courses (Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, etc) and my nursing GPA was 3.94. I also have my CCRN and am on a few committees/volunteer work.

I hope that helps! Take care!

Specializes in SICU/TICU.

Got my rejection email Jan 11th. I know many people who applied and did not even get an interview this year with High GPA's above 3.5 and a lot of involvement.

My BSN GPA was 3.88

CCRN

Inolvement in more than 6 hospital commities

Volunteer

Almost 7 years Surgical and Trauma ICU experience.

As far as CSUF/KPSA I think it may be the hardest school to even get an interview for in the country due to the large amount of applicants. There were 680 this year for Fall 2012. The 2nd largest applicant pool is Texas Wesleyan as far as I know with applicants in the 400's.(their class is over 400 though)

can someone please help me out here?

i'm looking to apply to kaiser's crna program in the near future (next year), but i'm a NICU nurse at a level 1 hospital and kaiser told me they do not accept NICU as icu experience.

what would be the best route for me to go?

i'm looking to pick up a per diem adult icu position at kaiser and hopefully get my foot in the door that way, but what are my chances? i don't even know if kaiser would be willing to re-train me for adult icu. Kaiser/csuf's program would be so awesome, even with kind-of-far commute.

I do not think they give preference to kaiser employees.

you will need to go full time in an adult ICU if they don't take NICU....good luck!

good luck to everyone!
