Take the extra sciences. I don't think having an NP will help. In fact if you applied for CRNA school immediately after graduating NP school, I believe that would be a reason for pause by the selection committee. It would look like you don't really know what you want or are a professional student. The more advanced science classes would make you stand out and letting them know your strong desire to be a CRNA. IMHO

I took the Iowa Central Community College Organic/Biochemistry. Good class with great online instruction. Made an A.

Found out my problem--me! I didn't do the counciling session by phone and fax my resume. I just sent in the application with all the above in November. You MUST fax a copy and have a phone counsel session. I have five years in busy ICU, 3.9 GPA, CCRN, extra science classes. My own fault.

Did you guys even get your self addressed envelope back with confirmation of your application? A friend of mine at work got his rejection for interview email two days ago. I was thinking that no news is good news for the present but now I'm wondering if my app got lost in the shuffle.
