I'm also very sorry for those that did not get in. Chin up everyone and stay strong. We all will become nurses in the future. I cannot wait for that day to come!

I've been reading all your posts, and I've bonded with you and understand what you're going through. I've tried explaining to my friends and boyfriend that this forum keeps me sane when I'm waiting for news.

@alyssag: i haven't heard anything about the alternates list yet i'm going to call home today and see if i got anything in snail mail. this makes me anxious. if i don't hear any news from western by friday (that's when my three weeks are up), then I'll call them on Monday to ask regarding my status....

Through our posts, you guys have shown me how helpful, supportive, and caring you all are. There is no way Western could have known these things based on 10 interview questions. We will all make great nurses despite which school we attend to further our nursing education. At least the waiting game is beginning to have a conclusion and some of us can move on with our lives.

As for Westerns reasoning behind the additional interviews- sounds odd to me bc people have actually stated that they received a rejection notice and then an interview invite. I am sure there is somethig that they don't want us knowing... hmm...

Hi guys,

After reading all the posts about rejection letters as of late to a few people here, all I can say is cheer up! You've tried your best and like everyone else here said, it's a big accomplishment that you've made it to the interviews. WesternU is probably your guys #1 pick, but there is always other potential schools that provide the same teachings.

I am also waiting for a letter or mail to get to me. My interview date was on the 22nd.

Also, congrats to a few of that you got accepted to the program at Western U and to any other programs!

Thanks Bees Though I wasn't super active in this post, all your comments and your info digging was really appreciated. Western really was my first choice and I feel I really butchered the interview, and I only applied to one more school.

Also, @wheems if you don't mind me asking I was just wondering what letter does your last name start with? I'm just wondering if they're going through the alphabet and haven't finished yet :yawn:

What other school did you apply to?

And I would really recommend that you follow up with WesternU and find out what factor was considered in your rejection. It will give you the knowledge to be able to do better next time. And also try to remember, like someone else said, they can't get a complete picture of YOU with just an interview. This isn't to knock anyone accepted to the program - but some people could be complete duds but had a good application and a lucky day interviewing!

And the last couple of weeks, I have been racking my brain how I could have done better or said something differently. But it comes down to the fact that I did the best that I could and we will see where it gets me!

Hang in there. I know it sucks and I know it is really tough. The group here is really supportive. So maybe we can help you brainstorm to where else you might apply (in case you haven't thought about it!)

Ramina - My last name starts with an A and I haven't heard anything. I know that Blue's starts with a G (I think). Someone else start's with an L - so I don't think they are doing anything in alphabetical order. I don't think we can try to find a pattern in their madness! lol

Thanks BeesMama...I am just trying to make sense of it all! I also know someone who's last name starts with a V that received a rejection yesterday so there really must be no order (my last name starts with N so I was a little worried they might be going backwards). I wonder if they sent all the rejections or if this was just the first batch? Not knowing what is going on is making this a much more stressful experience. I wish they had just waited until they knew everything for sure (like most schools do) and sent out all the acceptances/rejections at once so there wasn't this constant guessing game!

I also didn't get in
Western is missing out on some awesome future nurses.
Our determination to be what we chose to be is BIGGER and STRONGER than any rejection letter.
It's not about the number of times we fall, but the number of times we get back up!!!
Chin up guys, the best for us is yet to come!

Well said! This pit in my stomach is growing bigger. I'm saddened by all these rejection posts. You guys definitely deserve to be in a program!
