Direct Entry MSN Programs 2013

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Anyone on here applying to direct entry MSN programs that begin in summer or fall of 2013? I think I have finalized my list of programs to apply to, and I am beginning to get everything together to start applying this summer/early fall (I know this is rather early, but I'm a bit anxious and I was wondering if there was anyone else on this board who is just as excited as me!). I am pretty certain that I will be applying to UPenn, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Northeastern, University of Massachusetts, Boston College, Columbia, Vanderbilt, and Marquette. I am also applying to a few accelerated BSN programs in my state (Florida) - UCF and UF, for sure. I have all of my prerequisite courses completed, and currently have a 3.76, but my BS is still in progress and I have to retake the GRE this summer. I look forward to hearing from other people!

when i called northeastern this week they told me the latest we would know is mid to late april, because they are doing admissions in rounds. not sure if that was a guise for a rejection tho :([/quote']

That may be true...I just know they had 25 spots for 700 applicants :[ I applied too didn't get into the traditional ( not surprised with those odds) but did get into the hybrid program...my advisor for the hybrid program was the one that told me they finished making decisions but I have not yet received an official letter from them

what do you mean by hybrid program?

is anyone doing NEU direct entry traditional neonatal NP track for the fall of 2013?

I'm so happy to have found this thread. I am currently in an MFA program, but my instinct for health care isnt at play. To this, I'm giving serious thought to going into nursing via a direct-entry program. I need a program that is part-time given my other responsibilities. Anyone know of any programs like this, or perhaps have an idea of how to pursue a career in nursing given this constraint? Thanks so much.

I'm not aware of any direct entry MSN programs that are offered part time. Many places will allow you to do the NP part of the program part time while you gain RN experience. But I have never seen a program where you can do the RN portion part time. Perhaps there is another route into nursing you can take that allows you to go part time all the way through.

Thank u very much for information... I am looking for DIRECT ENTRY MSN Programs in FL... I have done my B.S. in Biotech, my over all GPA is 3.5 and i am finishing some of my prerequisite for nursing as well. I have 1 and half year experience in health care and 2 year experience in pharmacy ....

Also interested in Direct Entry programs. I have a BA in Public Health & Spanish. I'm in need of some advice. Please direct message me.

I am not aware of any Master's Entry programs that are part-time. In my state there is one accelerated BSN program that can be taken part-time (1 weekend day and 2 evenings a week), but that takes 3 years to complete.

Many community college programs are scheduled around the working adult (one night and 1 weekend day), and take 3 years for an associate degree.

hi, I know this post is old. I was wondering how was McKendree? I just applied to their MSN in administration.
