Villanova BSNExpress, Drexel ACE, or Jeff APW? Help!

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I applied to all three programs ( ACE fall '13, Nova BSNExpress may '13, Jefferson APW fall '13) expecting that if I was lucky I'd get accepted to one. Well now I've been accepted to Drexel and Villanova and have an interview at Jefferson next week! I'm thrilled but very confused as to which program is best for me. I am 28, will be commuting, single no kids, and eager to begin this new career! Does anyone have experience with any of these programs? Thanks!

It's totally up to you, but I have heard the best things about Villanova's program.

Thanks! I'm leaning in that direction I think :)

Heyy I applied to Ace and Villanovas BSN Express but I already got an acceptance from Villanova also :) and from what I've heard and read I will definitely pick Villanova for May 2013. Have you already taken the Pathophysiology class?

I haven't taken it yet, have you? Btw, congratulations!!

Heyy Gingermetimbers Thank you, Congratulations to you as well!! I haven't taken Patho yet but I just enrolled for Villanovas online course for next semester. HBU?

I signed up for it at my community college (soooo much cheaper!) but I just got into Jefferson's APW program and I'm really torn...I feel like such a weirdo that I haven't made up my mind yet, it just feels like such a huge decision!

Whit, what in particular led you to choose Villanova?

hey guys I'm thinking about applying next fall to villanova for May 2014 program my overall GPA is a 3.3 right now i'm a senior in college, my science grades aren't so great though c's and b's. I am pretty nervous about applying any tips if you guys wouldnt mind telling me your GPAs and science grades.

3.6 in my first BA. 4.0 in sciences and all prereqs. 3.3 should probably be competitive. I think if you feel your other grades aren't up to snuff, you can prove yourself elsewhere - hospital volunteering, part-time work in a healthcare setting, leadership or participation in extra-curriculars, etc. They're looking at the whole package so make sure you're selling them something.

Hey sinbadx81,

I've heard a lot of great thing about Villanova's program from people who went there as well as my own research compared to other schools. They really won me over when I went in for my interview in terms of the curriculum, professors and services they have to offer to their students. 14 months its ideal for me because I don't want to feel overwhelmed or "left on my own" in the middle of the program. Yes it is not affiliated with a major hospital but TRUST ME that it does not mean anything. In today's world everything is about who you know and how good your networks are!!

Your GPA is not bad at all and you still have at least one more semester to push it up a bit. My advice to you would be to really work on getting mostly As &Bs in your prereqs because that's what counts the most! If you had Cs in A&P,Micro then take them again.
