I applied to all three programs (Drexel ACE fall '13, Nova BSNExpress may '13, Jefferson APW fall '13) expecting that if I was lucky I'd get accepted to one. Well now I've been accepted to Drexel and Villanova and have an interview at Jefferson next week! I'm thrilled but very confused as to which program is best for me. I am 28, will be commuting, single no kids, and eager to begin this new career! Does anyone have experience with any of these programs? Thanks!
It's very strange but my interactions with Villanova were completely different from yours, Whit. My entire experience with Villanova has only been good on paper -- in other words, while I know this school is highly-ranked in comparison to other programs in the area and well-respected in the field, my interactions with the nursing staff both at their open house and during my interview were generally negative and unfriendly. I was accepted to both Jefferson and Villanova's programs for May 2013 and have chosen Jefferson for this reason. I guess it all depends on who you talk to but I just didn't like the feel I got from those I spoke with at all.

But Jefferson has a good program as well, and it's great that you had the option of choosing between 2 programs
I also had a few bad correspondence experiences with one individual at Villanova. It didn't play a role in my decision (people like that will be in any institution). Jeff and Villanova came up about equal for me so I went with the one that was a more convenient commute.
I wouldn't necessarily place much stock in rankings either. Although someplace like UPenn is probably a great school, I think a large part of the rankings comes from their research emphasis (as in Hopkins and others at the top) along with peer reviews. None of that necessarily speaks of the quality of the program. I think that is especially true for school in the middle of the pack. A few tenths of a point in ratings isn't going to translate to any great difference in program quality.
I went with Jeff because I can commute by train into the city. I kind of liked Villanova's service-oriented mindset and it seemed like a solid program, but Villanova simply required more driving time for me. It was a tough choice though. I don't seem to hear many negatives about Villanova so I may have went that way if it were more accessible for me.

Your GPA is not bad at all and you still have at least one more semester to push it up a bit. My advice to you would be to really work on getting mostly As &Bs in your prereqs because that's what counts the most! If you had Cs in A&P,Micro then take them again.
