I didn't know they sold off Mercy Providence. Who's running it now? What services does it provide?

Just for reference, Mercy Hosp is MILLIONS in debt, and they are the ones who approached UPMC to help rescue them. UPMC did not leverage themselves to 'take over' Mercy.I'd be interested in hearing which hospitals are worse off since they've aligned with UPMC.
I think the writer meant that the nurses are worse off working for UPMC as in "RUINED" from nurses point of view. I didn't take that post to mean that hospitals bought up by UPMC don't make money. UPMC does not come by it's huge profits by being gentle with it's employees.
