Drexel ACE Spring 2014

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I know it is early, but I just found out I was accepted! I have to finish two more reqs, which I will do in the fall (i was told they have to be finished by Jan 15) Anyone else find out yet!? What are you expectations, and how will you be paying for the program, and then covering living expenses?

Does anyone know if the Nook is compatible with the ebooks? I read on an old forum that the ebooks were only compatible with iPad/iPhone/itouch and laptop but they were working on having it accessible to other tablets etc.

DREXEL ACE PROGRAM SPRING 2014 is on facebook if anyone would like to join. thanks!

the HIPAA training is easy, just a 30 minute presentation online

Hey Everyone. Congrats on getting in to the program. I just finished Q2, and I thought I'd just leave a couple comments.

It's very difficult and many people don't pass on their first attempt (rumor is about 1/3 of the class). On the other hand, there are many people who also do quite well in the program and have time for a family, a job, trips to the beach, or getting the 4.0 gpa. It's not impossible by any means.

N300 is tough mostly because the questions are tough. They are like little puzzles with small clues that you must decipher to arrive at the answer. They often require multiple layers of knowledge, so you might know half the question, but you might still have to guess at the best answer.

I think a solid understanding of A&P is really helpful. Especially, it's good to know the lungs, heart, brain, kidneys and how/why blood flows between them all. This is how most people die, so these organs are the essentials.

One other tip, I recommend being solid on your med-math before you show up because that's one less thing to worry about while you are here, and solid med math is an easy way to improve your grade on the HESI.

Question for everyone planning on applying for graduate housing:

Are we supposed to apply now or wait for a separate application for the spring 2014 quarter? When i went to apply, it said 2013-2014 application and i wasn't sure if that was the right one or not.

I was waitlisted for and i'm guessing they are still making decisions?! I applied in like april and they haven't given me much communication back and fourth. I'm trying not to get frustrated, but I see all of these 'accepted' posts!

Hi guys, I applied in September for Spring 2014 and got accepted last week. I was wondering if any of you guys can confirm my questions.

1. School starts in March?

2. There is no deadline to pay deposit to ensure our spot?

Thanks!

Hello All,

I'm just wondering about the Ethics and Computer pre req I see being talked about.

I don't see this pre req on the website. Just

  • English: 3 semester credits.
  • Chemistry with lab: 4 semester credits.
  • Developmental psychology: 3 semester credits.
  • Anatomy with lab*: 4 semester credits.
  • Physiology with lab*: 4 semester credits.
  • Microbiology with lab*: 4 semester credits.
  • Human nutrition: 3 semester credits.
  • Statistics: 3 semester credits.

Any help is much appreciated! Have been working on pre-req's while working for two years and finally finished!

From what I've read on here it says March 31 and I spoke with Fran today she said " late April"

hello! quick question: the ethics and computer class I see this on the 2013-2014 pre req website, however I don't see this on the current one. I'm getting so confused!

Hi Elena,

Computer Science is no longer required. This applies to ACE classes starting in Spring 2014. You have the current required prereqs in your previous post.

Classes start on March 31, 2014. Your $500 deposit is due 60 days after the date you receive your acceptance letter.
