CCAC Spring 2014 Applicants

Applications are due on August 15th so I wanted to start the thread for all of us hoping to get in for the Spring 2014 semester! I'm currently taking Bio 110 (my last pre-req) and will send my application for Allegheny Evenings in on Thursday when my class is over. I have a BSBA already so I have all of the co-reqs done except Micro, A&P 1 &2. I probably won't get in because of it but my GPA is pretty decent so it's worth a shot anyway! Plus, with the changes in the point system it might work out. I'm taking Micro and A&P 1 this fall. I don't plan on applying anywhere else.

Anyone else? What are your stats? What campus did you select? Do you have any questions for the community?

Oh my! I nearly ran into that same mistake until I emailed ***** **** to find out for sure if it was needed and she said they needed everything!!! Good luck to you!! And hopefully things will work out for the best.

Thank you mrsralph. I am hoping that this technicality doesn't jeopardize my hard work thus far in trying to finally begin this goal at CCAC. I think, and hope, understanding minds will come to that conclusion. I can only hope, lesser things have obstructed my progress in the past and this day and age I hope common sense and compassion will prevail! I can only hope and keep trying until I get it, regardless how long it takes....seriously I hope for this spring to finally begin moving forward into nursing. Thanks everybody for the updates, I would have been late in my efforts to get this ball moving if I hadn't read everybody's comments. Be proactive and very thorough is the lesson learned today.

HI Everyone!! I got into my first choice, Allegheny Evening!! It has been such a long road, my acceptance letter was such welcomed news! I applied for Fall 2013 but didn't have my MICRO and AP2 finished by the application deadline so I didn't make the cut off. Anyone else in Allegheny Evening? I know one other person so far. Congrats to those who made it and to those who didn't, don't give up!!

I got in to the Allegheny campus. I was trying to see if anyone heard of when the information packets are going to be mailed out so as to get the test and clearences done. I was told not to get them on my own because if they are not current and if the date is to old they will not accept them. Good luck to all that got in to the classes. I hope that the class mates I will have are willing to have study groups and other helpful sessions.

Does anyone have suggestions about where to get "nursing shoes"?

A friend of mine is in the North Campus evening program and said she bought all white sneakers and they are fine. I don't know if it varies from campus to campus though.

Does anyone know when we schedule our nursing classes? I'm hearing different stories...

I called the Allegheny campus on Friday 10/25 and she said they are still working on it and will send out something in the mail as soon as they get the schedules finalized. She did not give any kind of time frame.
