I'm really struggling deciding what I want to do. On one hand, I want to get my PNP... I don't want to work with any population other than my kiddos! But on the other hand... I wonder if the FNP would give me more options. Anybody have any opinions or ideas? How's the job market for PNP's?

On top of those questions, is it common for a FNP to work in a pediatric setting? I would be greatful if someone could answer this. Thanks!

I'm tring to figure out the same thing...

Or what about getting an FNP degree and then taking a few more credits to specialize in Peds?

All of the nurse practitioners that I work with have their PNP credentials.

Hello, bk2va03:balloons:

To answer your question, yes, an FNP can work in the pediatric setting. Now, if the institution/clinic has a choice, I am sure they will want a PNP. I am an FNP and have many peds patients......
