Any idea what a nurse at an outpatient rehab would be doing? This is some of what they do: This is a Monday Friday daylight position only.

Some of the common conditions pediatric physiatrists treat are:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Spina bifida
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Acquired brain injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Limb deficiencies
  • Gait abnormalities
  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Branchial plexus palsy

Is this more like a medical daycare kind of thing? If so, many kids will have G-tubes or trachs and need meds, feeds, suctioning, straight cathing (spinal cord kids). If it's more of working with a physiatrist, I would guess it would be assisting with procedures. Kids, especially kids with disabilities, get sedated for procedures that adults would be awake for and get told "stay still".
