Finding a job/how long does it take.

  1. I have applied to a good 30 jobs already for hospitals, I can do either CNT/PCT work or clerical work I have the training for CNT, but the experience in medical clerical work.

My hubs is worried I won't find a job.. But I'm having to limit myself to days and hours... Cause of his work schedule... It's totally not that I can't find a job, I just can't apply for anything that does not work for our schedule..

I have applied for a few positions that would totally works SAT/SUN 7a-7p I sure hope someone gives me a call soon...

The last time a hospital called me, it was literally 3 to 4 months after I applied. I had forgotten I even applied there.

If you are just getting your certification a lot of hospitals won't hire CNA (or CNTs) with that year experience. You are limiting yourself to days (which is okay) and hospitals (which is cool, I guess) but there are hundreds of people doing the same. Have you considered LTC?

So basically I have no shot at a hospital right now? I just got my CNA license several months ago and I'm an ADN student (just about done with the second semester - I guess I should change my screen name)...however, my full time job is still the job I was doing before I got into the nursing program (accounts payable at home office of a large retail company)

I'm not saying you don't have a shot but a lot of posts (majority) state in the description that you need at least one year of similar work experience.
