Do any hospitals in the Portland area have new grad RN programs??

Hey guys,

I'm curious if any of the hospitals in the Portland area have new RN graduate programs?

I have been eye-balling the Pacific Northwest area hospitals as an option, as I have been to Portland and other parts of WA state, and like the area in general. I am from out of state, in Hawaii. The nurse job market here is BAD!

I will be graduating from a BSN program this coming week. Happy to be finished with school, but also face the daunting task of not only studying for the NCLEX, but finding an RN job. Let me know! Thanks!

Several hospitals in Portland have new grad residency programs. Check out this link from OHSU and scroll down to Oregon:

Be aware that the programs are extremely competitive as the job market is tough here as well.

^^ Awesome awesome, VivaLaVespaGirl!!

I like the OHSU campus. I have been there in the past when visiting a friend attending his latter part of pharmacy school.

Again, thank you!! ;)

Legacy has the Versent Program

Portland Adventist has the Versent Program

OHSU has a program, but tends to hire their grads 1st

Providence at times has programs

Peace Health SouthWest WA has programs as well.

If you are "eyeballing" a hospital go to their websites and look, if they have a program it should be listed on the their website, or call the HR office they would be able to tell you
