veeb lpn 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello has anyone took the entrance exam for the veeb lpn program in long island if so how was it?

I took the exam on the Jan 27th, super easy very basic math, and reading most short stories. I just received my letter stating that I passed

Hi! I took the test last week and had a question..

Upon finding out if I passed the test, does that mean im accepted? I know they mail you the "big envelope" if you passed, so as long as you turn in the deposit/application/reference ASAP, you're in? Also, does it mention if they accept credit cards for the deposit? I know they mentioned it before the test, but my nerves were taking over!

Only money orders and when I read the letter to guarantee your seat as they say you have to pay the $2000 by the date that's highlighted. I paid handed in everything, now I just wait and see. Have you taken the test?

I currently go there any questions feel free to ask

I paid my deposit and I have a paper saying this student was accepted in to the PN 2015 program but they didn't tell me anything from there, like what's the next step. But how are classes, is it really intense? And do your start clinical your first module?

I'll be taking the exam on March 21 very scared lol is their alot of algebra & vocab on the test?

If you paid the 2k deposit and got accepted then that's that I suppose next would be an email talking about orientation soon

I did my orientation in August but I know there are some who did it in July or maybe sooner.

Classes are insane Felder with her pharmacology and drugs are the worse. She gives you this chart during orientation that has measurements

like 30ml = 1 fl oz

also like 1 oz = 2 tbsp

She calls it her platinum chart and you should do your best to memorize it top to bottom cause she does like a secret pop quiz and its the basis for like your first quiz and the whole semester in general

And she also throws alot of drugs at you first semester and she just want basic stuff like trade generic and the action but the basics she wants and the drugs she uses all come up again in second semester when its the most intense crazy thing ever

like every test for her expect around 10-20 drugs and you have to know trade generic adverse effects actions patient teachings etc. and if you paid attention first semester the fact that she introduced them first really helps

I can go on for hours about all the teachers and classes but i'm actually studying for a test right now i'm in the middle of second it really is worlds apart from the first semester in terms of how much more difficult it is.

You have to maintain a 70 average in every class and pass clinicals so it's crazy like you could be killing it in A&P with like a 90 average but if your a 68 in felders then your still kicked out. So you have to be on top of your game early.

Maybe I will write a little guide or something if it generates enough interest on how to approach the teachers and such and what to expect.

But way too intense at the moment in fact this is me procrastinating because I should be learning about the stages of labor we have a test on that on Monday then a test on respiratory system on Wednesday and a test on respiratory diseases on Friday. Its literally always like that after about 2 months.

I'll be taking the exam on March 21 very scared lol is their alot of algebra & vocab on the test?

The reading part of the test is simple enough read some passages then answer the questions. I can't recall too much about the reading part to be honest because I was so focused on the math part

Math wise alot of fractions and decimals adding subtracting dividing multiplying fractions was a good portion of it.

If you got that down pact then the rest should be easy.

I can't remember if they let you use a calculator I think they did.

Also keep in mind the school is in a new location in Hicksville NY.

Is there hard algebra on the test or just basic & is there geometry? I ended up reshdl my test because i was sick so it will be march 26

I took the exam, March 13 and I got my results today. I Passed

Im Soo Excited

I would like to know about the vocabulary portion of the test Im terrible in that im taking my test at Hicksville in 2 days
