UWF Fall Nursing 2017 Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! Didn't see any post for the upcoming cohort for UWF 2017 Nursing program hopefuls, so I decided to make one. Just a place to compare stats and ask and answer questions for anyone. I'll start by saying I have

GPA: 3.55

TEAS SCORE: 85

MEDICAL EXPERIENCE: 60+

RECOMMEDED COURSES: all four completed patho, med term, psychology, sociology

from what i know results should be sent out the second week of April. Is the anxiety killing anyone else???

Hi! Glad to see I'm not the only person this wait is absolutely killing!

I only have a 3.24 GPA but I'm hoping the 90.7 I got on the TEAS will help even that out. I also have the volunteer hours and three out of the four classes

I'm crazy anxious and excited! Will you be needing a roommate if you get accepted??

I'm applying too! I'm super stressed waiting to hear back. My GPA isn't the greatest but my advisor told me to still apply. I have an 86 TEAS, and all four extra classes. I would've had the volunteer hours but the place i was volunteering at messed up their records and refused to own up to it, but I wrote a letter explaining the situation. I'm also in this phlebotomy training course, so i'm hoping that'll help me out too.

Great to hear back from you all!

Ins14d i'm sure your teas score will make a major difference, that's the highest i've heard so far. Also I have my living situation set , but i recommend joining the uwf students group on facebook if you havent already. Lots of people looking for roommates and looking to have someone take over their leases in there.

CClif12, that sucks they messed up with your hours but i'm sure they will take into account the effort. Also I would think Phlo training would count as medical experience.

Im glad i'm not the only one anxious yet fearful. I get so nervous when i think about the whole situation because of the space being so limited. It's a great program and I hope we all get in. Hopefully they start sending out letters sooner then the 15 the wait is driving me crazy!

I'm starting to go crazy counting the days! But my friend who got into the Summer '17 program said they notified her about a week or so early. So i'm hoping they'll do the same for us, it all just depends on how many applications they have to go through i guess.

Does anyone know what the class schedule will be like if accepted? Like Is it Monday through Friday? and what would be the earliest class and the lastest class of the day?

Hey guys! I also applied to the program! I'm very anxious as well 😩😩😩 I'm really hoping I get into this program! I have an 81.3 on the TEAS and a 3.94 GPA, PSY and SYG course and over 500 hours of work experience. I'm really hoping for the best! Good luck Guys!

Do you know what your friends stats where?

I'm not sure exactly what the course schedule will look like if we get in but i did go and look at the summer schedule to see the classes and what times they're offered for the summer cohort, and that kinda gave me an idea? Anyone else a ball of stress currently?

So just got an email from one of the advisors saying that their will be a Spring Term offered for 2018!!! I want to get into fall of course but this does take some of the stress off of me for a back up plan if things don't go as planned. Anyone else heard of any other info about the program?

Has anyone asked if the offers will be sent prior to April 15th? Or is that date set in stone?

From what I hear it can go out anytime next week with Monday being the earliest and Saturday the latest
