Hi all,

I've decided to go ahead and start this thread for those who are in the process of applying for the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE nursing program at TWU (FALL 2017) Feel free to share your STATS, questions, and good vibes as we're all here to get accepted!

I'm personally interested in the Night/weekend program since I already have a bachelor's degree and I just finished my TWU application (since TWU requires you submit a "new student" application first, then the Nursing application) I am planning on submitting my nursing application right after I hear back..

I also have not yet taken my TEAS, but am in the process of studying for it to take in a couple weeks!

How's everyone else doing?

What are you using to study for the TEAS?

I went to half price books and bought a book that contained 5 practice exams that covers all portions of the TEAS. After taking one of the exams, I took note of what areas I needed to cover and putting emphasis on those topics. I'm also looking at youtube videos online to refresh on math and science.

Which campus are you applying to? Do we send our Teas scores to Denton?

Hey! So glad you started this thread. I'm looking to apply for fall 2017 as well! I only have stats and chemistry left to take this upcoming spring, and am looking for places to take the teas but it seems that all the dates are booked :(

do you mind sharing your stats?

also, they haven't changed policies, meaning they only take into account your nursing GPA and teas score when considering applicants, correct?

Also, are you going to have pharmacology completed by the time you apply?

Yay, I'm glad someone started this thread!

I just finished the last of my pre-reqs this semester (A&P 2, microbiology, and chemistry lab)!

My stats are:

Overall GPA: 3.75

Nursing GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 84

Previous degree

I wonder if I should take the TEAS again for a more competitive score and just let it be??

My stats are as followed:

4.0 core nursing

74 Teas

Previous B.S. degree

41.3 points on the excel sheet

Im applying to the Houston campus. I plan on retaking the Teas what did you all use to study when u took it? Has anyone applied to the TWU main campus yet? I just did my application. I'm wondering how long it will take them to accept it.

I used the ATI study manual and watched LOTS of YouTube videos. Also, I bought the two practice test that ATI offers, which gave me a better idea of how the test was going to look.

What did u get on the practice test if? Were your scores a direct reflection of the practice test?

They were slighty lower. I think I had an 80 and 83. So, not too far off!
