Hey everyone! Just wanted to see all the people who applied for spring 2014. I am so anxious waiting for these acceptance letters! I can't wait any longer :) friday can't come soon enough.

Hi ladies! I got in for Cohort 4 and wanted to introduce myself to my classmates! Congratulations everyone! I'm excited to meet you!

Hello,

I have been a student of TCC since 2010, I took their CNA Program. I just wanted you guys to know who just applied. While the teachers are awesome the staff can be rather slack at times and rude. Also, While TCC is cheaper in cost beware of taken classes not needed for whatever degree you are trying to obtain. If you must take prerequisites, understand that if you are wanting to transfer not everyone takes their credits. It is best to call around colleges and to ask them if they accept their credits. Also, If you are going to Va beach campus they do not help you find a job. I heard the Chesapeake campus at times will help students. It has now been one year, I have had many interviews but no job. Just thought I'd let you know who have just applied for this class.. Also, If you are getting into any medical program they tell students it is best to do CNA that way they have a better chance into getting into any program. As it is very hard to get into any any medical program with TCC. This year I am switching and i am either going to Centura or Sentara to ensure I get a career where i am able to get a job. Good luck

oh, I would also like to add that, It is also best to call places you want to work and ask them do they hire a lot of people from TCC, a lot of these people will be happy to share information with you and let you know which colleges have the best success rate for their company.

Hope this helps

Good luck[/quote'] thanks for all your insight, but everyone in this post has applied for or been accepted to TCCs RN program not the CNA program. Also TCC course credits that are needed to get into the nursing program and that are taken during the program transfer to almost any university or college.

Yes, understand your doing "RN" .. I was more speaking on the fact about the staff in the admin office.. but, pointed out I loved the teachers. Very happy you got into the RN program Mrs. Debbie is the best. As for the credits, I have had a few friend's try to transfer and they had problems with their credits tranfering over. I know this isn't the case for everyone. Hope you do great in program..

Stephie82,

the only problems I have had with credits transfering is if they are applying to a school out of state. I know that if students are wanted to get their BSN that TCC has partnerships with a few colleges. So I don't think that students will have problems continuing their education! But it always a good idea to double check, just in case!

On another note, Is everyone in Cohort 3 getting excited to start classes?

I have been looking over my books already... I am getting anxious to start! I think I am driving my husband crazy talking about it all the time!

I am in cohort 3 and will be selling my textbooks after 108 ends in march. So, if anyone is interested, let me know.

I created a group on Facebook for everyone starting in March, cohort 4. Search "Tidewater Community College Nursing Cohort 4 2014"
