San Joaquin Delta College Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everybody, I decided to make a thread for everyone applying to SJDC's nursing program for the Fall 2017 semester. This is a good space to collaborate and share information, exchange scores, etc etc

The application was supposed to open "the first week of February", and today is the 7th but there is still no application or update of any kind on the site. Does anybody have any information about this? I'm getting anxious checking every day and I just want to apply already!

What are the titers testing for specifically? Exposure to what? I submitted paperwork for everything it seems. What could be left? Hep A?

Does anybody know if we have to upload the FERPA form by the fifth as well?

The titers are testing for the presence of antibodies to make sure that you're still immune to the diseases.

I'm wondering the same. Also the Essential Performance Standards. We are instructed to upload these, but where to? These are not options on my to-do list on castle branch, and I called health science dept and asked this but the person I spoke w/ didn't know and never called me back, and they're closed today :(

Hi everyone! With registration getting closer, has anyone decided where they would like to do their clinicals yet? I'm thinking St. Joseph's but I haven't decided for sure yet

I chose St. Joe's!

Does anyone know anything about Lodi?

A friend of mine works at Lodi Memorial and likes it there. I didn't choose Lodi because it's a smaller hospital and I thought I may be able to learn more at St. Joseph's. St. Joseph's is much closer to home for me, too.

I called about that form and the girl said to keep it on you because they'll probably collect it on the first day or something (same goes for the essential performance standards sheet).

I registered today and picked Sutter Tracy. It was being able to be in my hometown two days a week that made Delta's program so appealing. I'll still be able to pick my kids up from school! Yippee

Castle branch has rejected my physical exam TWICE!! I drive myself nuts.

Castle branch has rejected my physical exam TWICE!! I drive myself nuts.

It's done the same to me because I submitted the physical examination form that was provided in the packet rather than the file provided by castle branch. I called the health sciences department and they said that after Wednesday they will be reviewing the rejected documents and they can override the rejection if what you submitted fulfills the requirement. Castle branch is only looking to see if you fulfilled the requirements posted on their website.

Thanks for explaining!

Hello everyone! I am registering on Monday and was wondering if anybody who took prerequisites anywhere besides Delta had problems registering? Also, can you really choose wherever you want to do clinicals or is there a limit on how many students they take at each hospital? Tried to get this info from the college but haven't heard back from them...Thank you!
