San Joaquin Delta College Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everybody, I decided to make a thread for everyone applying to SJDC's nursing program for the Fall 2017 semester. This is a good space to collaborate and share information, exchange scores, etc etc

The application was supposed to open "the first week of February", and today is the 7th but there is still no application or update of any kind on the site. Does anybody have any information about this? I'm getting anxious checking every day and I just want to apply already!

I had to register last semester and had no problems and I am coming from the Los food district. You can choose what clinical you want but there is a limit. Like right now the Stockton clinical is full. Leaving Manteca, Lodi, tracy left.

I registered on Monday with no problems. I did all my prerequisites at MJC.

I'm looking for shoe ideas. What shoes are you planning to get for clinicals?

For those of you coming from another college, did you take the placement test for english/math? I too am coming from a different college and still have not taken the placement test (not realizing I would need to). Will this keep me from registering tomorrow? Thanks for the help! :)

bburch, you don't need to take the placement test if you already took the english and math prerequisites, which I know you did if you got in! For me, I did all my prereqs at LMC so when I went to register at Delta it would only let me register for one class at first. I kept getting a "your waiver is full" message. So I had to email them and they were able to confirm my classes taken at LMC and open it up so I could register for my second class.

I never took the placement test and I'm from another college as well. Also I was supposed to begin last semester so I had the opportunity to enroll in ADN 1 &2 and I had no problem

OMG! I'm so glad I finally found this discussion! I just made a discussion because I couldn't find any help or guide prepping the requirements for Delta CNA Fall 2017. Hope these comments will help me find my answers. Thank you.

Has anyone made a Facebook page yet? If so, please post link.

What books/materials should be brought to class tomorrow.

Tips for Nursing school that worked for this time around for me is hired a pt time n any (10 hrs/wk), studied in depth powerpoints from lecture, the txt given was too hard to read so I found easier txt books for medsurg to read on topics I didn't know and l as t of all watched videos on YouTube on any subjects I needed help with the girl on rn.com is really really great at explain and breaking down things to make medsurg easier. Last of all is focus on yourself and studies first before others.

Hello,

I got accepted for Spring 2018, I was wondering if anyone had feedback about deltas nursing program so far.

Thanks

Most of you had to get anywhere from 70-80 points to get into the ADN program. I'm trying to calculate the points modestly and it seems to get that high a score, you would basically need really good grades in the prerequisites, and a really good TEAS score. Correct me if I'm wrong?
