Hello,

I'm a new grad (ADN) and just finished this past December 2013. I got accepted into all 3 of the RN-BSN programs I applied to. I got into Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Fullerton, and Cal State Dominguez. I have decided to decline CSUSB just because of the additional required capstones and the frequent drives required to Palm Desert. I initially applied because it was an online hybrid program. Since I am making work and gaining experience my priority I need help making a decision. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in either of these programs? Was it manageable with family and work?

So here are my options:

CSUDH

Pros:

All online, which allows flexibility for work and family ;)

Slightly more affordable

18 months Full Time

Or your own pace Part Time

No Commuting :) (Clinical once a semester)

Cons:

More course work required such as Patho and Statistics :scrying:

Lower NCLEX pass rate 70% (even though Im licensed, I still consider this)

More Independent Study Time Required

CSUF

Pros:

12 month program Full Time

18-24 months part time options

Some online courses offered

High NCLEX pass rate 93%:cat:

Awesome Options for Masters Programs

Cons:

Campus based = more commuting:down:

Any input for anyone would be great and appreciated. I'm still on the fence and a major factor is the commuting and class time required. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks
