Regis University Accelerated BSN May 2014

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Since the deadline for the May 2014 Accelerated BSN at Regis in Denver is fast approaching, I thought that I would start a discussion board for those of us who are applying. This will help us keep in touch and check the progress of the application process.

The final deadline through Nursing CAS is Septmber 15th and I am wondering if anyone out there has submitted, what your thoughts are, what you know about the program, etc.

I can't wait to start chatting with fellow soon-to-be RN's. :)

Congratulations Jason!! Looks like we may be classmates!!

It's been a while since I had to do financial aid. If anyone knows or hears anything, please share. :) looking forward to the May start.!! See you then

Hello everyone! I am also accepted for the May 2014 start and am looking forward to meeting everyone. :)

Does anyone have information on the Health Care Ethics class? I saw rumors online that you can take the class through other online universities for much cheaper, but I have not verified that with the school yet. Is everyone planning to do it through Regis, or have you found other options? Thanks!

You can take the class through Regis for ~1500$ or you can take it elsewhere but there are only a few colleges' Regis will accept the transfer of credit. Check out the transfer guide: Evaluating Transfer Credit | Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions | Regis University

Thanks! I looked through the transfer guides and only two or three CO universities offered the ethics class that can transfer, and most were not a great deal less expensive than Regis. I had heard that Rio Salado (online) was an option, but have not had that confirmed with the school yet.

Anyone else found a less expensive option for the ethics class? Or is everyone planning to just go through Regis?

Update: I had the class transfer confirmed from Regis today, so I'm going to take the course through Rio Salado. It's $215 per credit hour, so definitely a bit cheaper. Just wanted to share that it's an option if anyone is interested!

You are welcome. I was accepted to the January cohort so I haven't responded or read this thread in a bit. Congrats to everyone and for the alternates...there is still hope. :).

If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA? I am applying to the program for next January, and just want to see the ballpark that people are in grade-wise when being accepted. Thanks! and Congrats!
