PHSC Fall 2016 Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!! I'm starting this new thread in hopes of finding some returning or new applicants to PHSCs Fall 2016 RN orogram! This will be my 4th time applying 3rd in a row..... I'm planning on retaking my Teas to try for a better composite score.. will be applying to all available campuses for the RN transition program! :-)

Composite Calculation

(GPA of Pre-reqs only / 4) x 45%

TEAS score x 50%

Pasco or Hernando resident - add 5%

= Composite

I am currently in the LPN at West Campus. I will be applying for Fall transition. My composite is 75. Hopefully this will get me in. Good Luck to everyone.

Good luck with your LPN program and congrats :-)

Was just thinking of starting this thread, glad you already did. :) Studying now to retake the TEAS. Though I technically got accepted as an alternate last time, I don't want to take any chances. Need to bring up my science score as much as possible!

Hi hello nurse! Welcome back :-)

Was waiting to see if you were applying again!

I need to start studying again! I feel the same way but have been slacking this last month... :-/

Hello! going to be applying to the fall LPN and RN program to hopefully better my chances. I took the teas once but want to take it again to up my score.. anyone have any insight on the best/cheapest way to study? Last time I just googled the Teas practice stuff and did fairly well. What does everyone think?

I have and LOVE the ATI study guide. I'll put the Amazon link below. I've found it to be very accurate as far as what's on the test. I mean, you can't go wrong using a study guide by the company that created the test, you know? It helped me do really well on the TEAS last year, just need to step up my game on the science material. Also if you need math help, Khan academy is phenomenal! They aren't TEAS specific, but have videos, tons of practice problems for any type of math, etc.

Oh yes! Studying my butt off every day, both TEAS material and trying to get brushed up on LPN skills and all that stuff that's gone over right when the program starts!
