Ohio or Michigan Colleges?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am 33 and living in Monterey CA, my wife and I want to move back to the midwest to be near family. We are trying to decide on Detroit or Cleveland, I have looked into going to college for an RN degree.

Is anyone on here familiar with the two year programs in either of those area's?

Thank you.

I live in the Detroit metro area.. I have been looking at all the local programs for a few months now.. All community college have roughly a 2-4 year wait lists after you finish your prerequisites to begin clinicals. The university's are extremely tough to get into as well, hundreds and hundreds of applicants. I think due to the poor economy here many are returning to school, many of my friends went through Henry Ford Community College's program, my understanding is after you have the prerequisites they put you on a list and you wait a few years. Hope that helps..

Thank you, that is helpful. My brother is a paramedic in Detroit and he Said Schoolcraft and Madonna University are good ones to go to. Waiting a few years to get into a program seems very trying. I wonder what most people do in the interim.
