Nursing school HELP

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I went to medical professional institute in MA and had the worst experience. I was talking a&p 1 and 2 combined into one semester with micro, nursing 101, clinical, med math, nursing lab in a 3 day span (7am to 9pm). With that i was not able to make the passing grade for a&p (a chapter a wk) and was dismissed. I want to do an lvn but because of the requirements and waiting list id be waiting at least 2 years before i could enter a program. I went to CA last march, met with a rep from Carrington who helped me and basically i got into the program for the Nov start but i havent found much reviews and i saw something a previous thread that recommended CSN. So my question is carrington a good school? What does CSN stand for because i got a couple of places so i want to make sure its the right one and 3) are there any other schools in CA where i can take the prereqs as well as program courses? I eventually want to become an rn. I am currently a cna. MPI did not have much reviews for the nursing and ended up regretting it so much. I am willing to move to CA to do this because MA is almost impossible and time consuming to enter a program.

California Nursing

Massachusetts Nursing

When looking for a nursing program, you need to factor in housing + transportation costs when attending program away from home area. Also factor where do you expect to get a job after graduation...in your home state MA or will move anywhere for a position?

Both California and Massachusetts have a surpless of new graduates in urban areas so expect to take up to 6 months or longer to find a position.

Best wishes in entering this career.
