Nurse Corps Scholarship 2017-2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone,

I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.

Thanks

Does having a house loan makes you unqualified? its not a federal loan, its from a private company. any idea guys? thank you :)

Lol. I would hope not. If that was the case majority of folks wouldn't qualify. Now if that loan is in foreclosure, then I'm not sure...

I highly doubt a house loan would make you unqualified but you can contact HRSA customer service and ask. Good luck to everyone

I'm a second degree student. After receiving my degree, I enrolled at a local community college to complete my pre-requisites. I didn't form any meaningful relationships with professors after my first degree. Can my recommendation come from my first degree? Also, will my transcript be from my completed first degree, or my recent pre-requisite coursework?

Just want some advice.

To the Question about home loans: You can have any type of home loan. You cannot have any type of federal default on your credit. So this would be an FHA mortgage, student loans, unpaid child support, owed taxes etc. Credit cards, personal loans, and other things that are not related to the federal government do not count against you.

To the question about accelerated programs they count. There should be an option when picking your program type.

To the question about references and transcripts. It can be any educational and any professional, and it should be your most recent academic transcript available.

To anyone applying it is VERY important that you read the pdf at this link. It will answer your questions and make sure you understand your responsibilities should you receive it. Good Luck!

Hi I have a question. I have started my application but when I put in my EFC of 001601 it saves as 1601. Do I leave it at 1601 or do I enter the first number? Thank you! I really want to use it for a BS in Nursing since it will only be 2 semesters to get that but would like to use it for my Registered Nurse program since I already work at a Health Department and works full time and won't be able to use flex time to attend class during the day since night program isn't available. Thank you

Does anyone have a 2017-2018 copy of the Verification of Acceptance/Good Standing report? The link on the application doesn't work (at least for me). That happened last year too and when I wrote they sent it to me as an attachment. I thought if one of you proactive people already did this you might be able to post the form here for the rest of us.

The same thing has been happening to me. If anyone would be willing to email or post it somehow please let me know. Thanks!

How will we be able to provide our 2016 SAR? I can only enter my 2015 information into the FAFSA, at the moment.

Here is a copy of the link of verification of acceptance form: Page Not Found - Program Portal. if it doesn't work call HRSA and tell them you cant view your verification form. They will escalate the issue for you and have it added to your application.

This is a link for the verification of acceptance form Page Not Found - Program Portal.

I can send the good standing form to anyone that needs it. Just share your email with me! :)
