Moorpark College ADN Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone! As an applicant to Moorpark's ADN program for the Fall of 2017, I am starting this thread so I can exchange stats with other applicants! It's always useful to see what other applicants can bring to the table...

So, I'll start! :) Based on Moorpark's admission criteria, these are my stats:

AA degree

Overall GPA: 3.89

Science prerequisite GPA: 3.8

Remaining Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

Need to work

Advanced level coursework in a language other than English

TEAS Exam overall score: 90.7%

I calculated that my points are somewhere between 83 and 88... what about you? Share your stats to this thread :)

Good luck to all those that had applied. I am in my fourth semester at Moorpark College. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi I also applied for the fall 2017 nursing program...but I am hoping to get into the advanced placement. I am currently waiting for the invite to take the ati predictor exam or else the teas exam depending on which they decide to put me into...has anyone gotten their invitation yet? Been really anxious checking my email twice a day.

Hi, I took my teas exam yesterday here. I was invited like 2 weeks ago. I know there's more testing taking place in March but not sure if they sent out invitations for them yet.

Just replied to you but was not able to direct it to you ....so here I am posting again so you read the one before lol first time posting

Hi, glad to have someone that has experience with this on here! I wanted to ask if you don't mind....how was your teas score? I took mine and I'm not too happy with my score. I feel like it's too low. And I kindaaaa feel like I have no chance now. I scored 70  I

I also applied for FALL 2017 advanced placement. Do you know when we are supposed to hear back from them? I just checked my e-mail and didn't see anything.

I did pretty well on my TEAS exam, but remember your evaluation is a combination of your TEAS score and so many other factors... don't assume you're hindered by a 70! Although, if you don't get in this application period, you should definitely retake the TEAS because now you know what the exam is like and are better prepared to receive a higher score! I personally studied for like 2 months for the exam

Well the last date they offer the TEAS exam is March 10th, and the mandatory open house is on April 10th. We should hear back some time between those dates.

Please return and comment if/when you receive your certified mail :) I heard Moorpark does NOT send out letters if you are not accepted, so I hope someone will comment on this thread as soon as they receive their acceptance letter to give the rest of us a heads up when to expect the news!

I just took both the teas and the pn predictor exam this past week...not really happy with my scores, could've done better so now just praying and keeping my fingers cross. Will post whenever I hear anything :banghead:

How did you do on your PN predictor? Compared to the nation mean I don't think I did so bad.. Especially with no room to study. I was trying to figure out what score other people have gotten to get into the program advanced placement. But good luck to us both. I applied to a ton of other schools so I may not even take an offer if they offer me admission. Plus I don't know how I feel about being one of maybe 2-3 people going into a program. Kind of like the new kid in a school...
