Hello everyone! As an applicant to Moorpark's ADN program for the Fall of 2017, I am starting this thread so I can exchange stats with other applicants! It's always useful to see what other applicants can bring to the table...
So, I'll start! :) Based on Moorpark's admission criteria, these are my stats:
AA degree
Overall GPA: 3.89
Science prerequisite GPA: 3.8
Remaining Prerequisite GPA: 4.0
Need to work
Advanced level coursework in a language other than English
TEAS Exam overall score: 90.7%
I calculated that my points are somewhere between 83 and 88... what about you? Share your stats to this thread :)
Did you apply anywhere else??? I also applied to moorpark, college of the canyons and pierce.
my stats:
AA degree and a BS from ucla
overall gap (including ucla) is a 3.7
prerequisite gpa is a 4.0
overall ATI teas score was also a 90.7
bilingual
need to work
I didn't calculate my score though. Are you interested in any bridge programs?? I really want to just go for a BSN but I hear you can work and have your employer pay for it. Have you done any research on a BSN?
Please return and comment if/when you receive your certified mail :) I heard Moorpark does NOT send out letters if you are not accepted, so I hope someone will comment on this thread as soon as they receive their acceptance letter to give the rest of us a heads up when to expect the news!
Do do they email or call you? Or do you just have to wait for a letter?
Moorpark does send out letters if you are not accepted. Mine was to tell me I needed to do remediation for the reading part of the teas. I struggled with the reading portion of the teas. I had the flu and couldn't reschedule. I got above average on math and science, but because I was 1 point off of average I did the remediation. I reapplied this semester.

Hi! Since you did remediation for reading were you still considered for that semester? Or you HAD to do the remediation and then re-apply the following semester??
only because I know I will need to do that exact same thing with reading
I am still considered for this coming up semester. I completed remediation quickly, but also had more points to add to my application, so i reapplied for a possible better chance at getting in. Hope that helps.
sorry Im a little confused so I took my teas early march. Was I suppose to receive a remediation letter already?

This is the only school that I applied to and I really don't want to start from the 1st semester, I'm wishing to be put into the 3rd semester but I'll be fine if they put me in 2nd.
