Has anyone applied to MSON for Fall 2016? If so have you heard yet if you've been accepted? I thought we were suppose to hear from the program this week.

Hi RNhopeful2016,

I haven't heard anything yet. They said they were going to mail decisions out on May 12. But I would assume if you are accepted, they will send the emails out prior to that.

Hey ! I got my acceptance this evening but was told by my friend that already attends they only accepted a few people today and will finalize the rest of the acceptance next week !

Hey eg11, what was your grade on the exam if you don't mind me asking?

My grade was a 78

I received my acceptance email yesterday evening. I truly thank God. It's only Him.

Hey RNhopefu2016, have you heard back from them yet?

Happy 14, How is your experience so far within the program ?

My experience so far has been bitter sweet. I'm so grateful to be in the program, but it is very challenging. One exam can have 12 or 13 chapters ( no exaggeration). But many people have done it before me, and so can I. The professors are great, and my Nursing 1 professor is so amazing. She really guides you and prepares you for Nursing 2, 3, 4 & NCLEX.

Did you apply/ did you take Kaplan yet/ got accepted? or are you just considering the school?

Yes, I applied and exam is at the end of October. What was your experience with the exam?

That's great, the exam was pretty straight forward. The Kaplan book only really helped me with the reading comprehension. I found outside sources for A&P, math, and grammer. Only A&P was on the exam no other sciences. When I researched, people who took the exam before said the same thing. The A&P section had very detailed questions. I just studied the systems that they said to study in the Kaplan book. Just have to pray you know enough. The math was very basic, so if you have forgotten elementary school math, brush up on that. I used Khan Academy to help me with math. Know fractions, decimals, percentages, solving for x in an equation.. I believe that was the majority of the math. They did have 1 or 2 nursing math questions but it was just a matter of knowing what they were asking for but it was still basic math. Check out this youtube video.

She gave a good run down of how he exam was, and it helped me a lot.

For the English/grammer section, I looked p websites that helped with subject- verb agreement, and I can not remember what else. But check the video and research other people.

1 grain=60 or 65mg it depends some say 60 some say 65.. I think that was something people said they saw in the math section. I think I might have saw that on the exam as well, but don't quote me.

I hope that helps.. Good luck

Do you currently work ? I have heard that the program is demanding. However, just curious on the evening program class times and clinical times . I work full time and aiming for the evening program. Very excited and nervous at the same time, and I started a prerequisite classes this semester at a Community College.
